Meet our Coaches

Laurie Chia

Laurie was in the saddle at a very young age …. in her mothers arms of course!

She grew up in Alberta riding, training, and showing western at a number of her family’s farms.

She started riding English at the age of 30 in order to do some jumping and purchased Meadow Green 23 years ago.

Under the direction of Laurie, Meadow Green has been instrumental in introducing the love of horses to hundreds of people over the years and blazing new trails into the International circuit
Currently her passion is to re-invigorate the Manitoba horse community and to transform lives using the HEALING POWER OF HORSES.

Bev

Bev fell in love with horses when she was a child and attended a camp that offered riding as part of their program. However, it wasn’t until she was much older that she began taking lessons and eventually purchased her first horse.

Bev has now been riding, taking lessons, and competing for over 12 years. Her interest lays in dressage and she has successfully competed in both Western and English dressage, winning provincial amateur champion in 2019 for Western and reserve amateur champion for English in 2008.

Faith

Faith has been riding for about 10 years and has just recently started teaching at Meadow Green. She loves teaching lessons and is a firm believer in pushing her students, but never past what they are comfortable doing. She believes riding should be fun and never scary! Faith rides a five year old quarter horse named Felix. She events with him which means she competes in dressage, show jumping and cross country! Her main focus is working with young horses. If you see Faith around the barn come say hi!

Julia

Julia started riding at Meadow Green when she was 8 years old, and has been coaching for us since 2018. She has been riding for 13 years but has been exclusively focused on competing in dressage for the past 9 years. She spent her first year out of high school as a working student and has been coached by Ariana Chia for many years. She has competed up to Fourth Level dressage and has also spent the past two summers grooming for Ari and taking care of her top level horses. Julia is currently riding our special young man, Prince, and coaches our show team!
